Usage & Utility
The use of the kick starter shaft on a bike is to mechanically turn the engine’s crankshaft when the rider applies force to the kick lever. This rotation rotates the piston, compressing the fuel-air mixture, which is then ignited by the spark plug, starting the engine. The shaft then disengages, allowing the engine to run on its own.
