Usage & Utility
The primary use of a clutch switch on an EFI bike is a safety feature that prevents the engine from starting unless the clutch lever is pulled in. This prevents the bike from lurching forward if it’s accidentally left in gear when you try to start it. The switch is located on the clutch lever assembly and has two wires, acting as an essential part of the motorcycle’s ignition safety system.
